The minimum age requirement is 16 years old.
No, you do not need any prior experience to take flight lessons at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base. Our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way. However, if you are coming for an ASES rating, we do recommend that you are current and proficient in a single-engine aircraft. Not being proficient can lead to additional training and the possibility of not being signed off for a check-ride.
We offer a variety of aircraft for training including Cessna 172, Ledgend Cub, Super Cub, and de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver. Our instructors will work with you to determine the best option for your needs.

Our dual and introductory flights are all about experiencing the joy of seaplane flying. No checkride, no pressure—just unforgettable fun.
